This beautiful LIG (Laser Inert Gas) welding is done by Josh Himmer, trained as a 2nd Generation Micro Welder by Master Micro Welder, Scott Malkasian.
Micro Welding or Micro Dimensional Welding is generally understood to mean the high precision placement of weld material to a specific dimension or shape, by hand, under a microscope, using small diameter wire between 0.003 to 0.020in (the average human hair is 0.004in).
Our micro welders have the ability to place weld, no matter how small, exactly where it is needed with minimal or no effect to surrounding geometries. In practice there are few micro welding shops that can perform the precision work done here at Micro Arc Welding.
